While inward-opening windows offer many advantages and are favored by many families, it's not simply a matter of choosing any type. Several aspects need attention:
1. Window and Door Frames. Currently, the best window and door frame material is thermally broken aluminum. Good thermally broken aluminum frames use virgin aluminum, resulting in a glossy cross-section, high toughness, high density, and good wind resistance. Secondly, the wall thickness of the thermally broken aluminum frame is crucial. If the frame wall is too thin, the strength of the window and door will be low, compromising safety. According to the latest national standards, the wall thickness of exterior window frames must be no less than 1.8mm.
2. Glass. For high-rise residential buildings, window and door safety is paramount, and glass accounts for over 70% of the window and door area. The consequences of broken glass are unimaginable. Therefore, when choosing glass, firstly, choose tempered glass with 3C certification to ensure it won't cause injury in case of breakage; secondly, choose double-glazed windows. Insulating glass not only provides an extra layer of safety in the event of a single pane of glass shattering, but also improves the sound insulation and heat insulation functions of doors and windows.
3. Hardware. The hardware for inward-opening and tilt-and-turn windows typically includes window handles, window struts, and locks. It directly determines the user experience and lifespan of the window. Windows generally have fixed and movable sashes. The movable sash relies on hardware; good hardware ensures a longer lifespan for the movable sash.
4. Sealing strips and thermal break strips. Sealing strips are crucial for a tight window seal; a sealing strip is essential between the movable and fixed sashes. Thermal break strips prevent heat transfer between the inside and outside, which is vital for the insulation function of doors and windows. Thermal break strips should be made of PA66 material, which can withstand temperatures up to 300℃ and has a long service life.
